Christmas 2012

For the 3rd year in a row (Rowe) - I crack myself up - we spent a couple of days at Mahoney State park at a cabin.  It's more like a fat 24 hours for all but Don and myself.  We make it 2 days.  Anyway, this year at least one person in each family was sick or had been sick or was exposed and probably going to get sick - so we all gathered anyway.

Becky took this picture.  All 11 gkids with their personalities in full view.  Seriously, they are so doggoned cute, every one.

Don's parents - Dale and Marylyn came this year.  Marylyn was fighting a cold but they had fun.  They jumped right in with the crowd.

Don

Chase - trying to stay with us - c,mon you can do it!!  He felt pretty bad but carried on as well as one can expect from a 3 year old.

Mitch with some help with the fireplace.

Waiting.  Becky gets to rest now and again with her kids a little older.

Trenton and a sweet smile.

Stef and Dekker

Trenton with a more normal look - HA!

Dance moves

More dance moves.

More dance moves - I forgot the name of this particular dance - but Rowen and Maeson sure had it down.

Dominick believes that pants are optional - anywhere, anytime.  Ever the fashion statement.

Dave has a "real" camera, as does Becky.

Dekker helping Tucker with his gift.

Chase opening a gift - appropriate smile and everything.  These kids are well trained - in sickness and in health.

Rugger the resident Santa.

Andrew and his new watch - digital doncha know.

Tucker seemed to like his new friend/chair.

Reise and Ryleigh in the mix.

Wii bowling tournament.
Dom with frosting and such - Tiff spent a lot of time wiping and holding her sick babies.  When they feel bad, seems like Mom is the only one who will do.  It's only right.

Wii Don (hehe) and his mother.

Show it Marylyn!!!

No lack of food.

Someone got hold of my camera.

Father - son moment.

Chase and a sweet smile.

Ryleigh and Andrew

Rugger and the Kuerig - that is one fine machine.  How did we get along without that for so long??

More eating - lots of eating.  Just graze, breath, graze.

Now isn't he a handsome thing?  Note the beautiful head - fairly new.

Mitch won the bowling tournament - daughter Ryleigh won last year so it's a Sallinger powerhouse.  You may note that Mitch won by one point.  It was a hard fought battle.  A squeaker to the end.

We wrapped up late Monday after arriving Sunday afternoon.  Already trying to reserve the cabin for next year!!

I am finally getting around to scanning again after a busy summer.  I picked the oldest album that hasn't been scanned.  Some really old pics and then some of early marriage and starting our family.

These are pics of me as a baby, my dad and Roxy, Me, Jeff and Sandy.  We lived in this mobile home while my Dad moved us around.  He worked in the oil fields in North Dakota.  The youngest, Court, was born about a year after that pic.  The wedding is that of my parents.

Could have skipped one of these but oh well.  This picture from 1962 is taken at my grandparents farm north of Bismarck, ND.  Left to right are my gma, Roxy, Me, Jeff, my dad holding Court, Sandy and my mom.  My gpa was taking the picture. The  dog is Rover, bless his heart.

This picture was taken in 1975 before we were married.  My mom, Jeff, Court, my dad, Sandy, Don's mother (Marylyn) and father (Dale).  Don is playing with Bubbles.

After we moved to our first house, we got a kitten.  This is Maggie.  She was a fiesty cat that NEVER went outside.  She was 12 or 13 years old and as we were backing out of the driveway one Sunday morning, we saw her out in the yard - very strange.  We never saw her again.

We went on a camping trip to Colorado - just the two of us.  Had a little tent and a Coleman stove.  Pretty fun.

Good night Irene, I was huge.

Turn your heads, I have only so much patience with Picassa.  Here is Bill, Pav, Tami, Nancy with Joseph.  Christmas at Lao and Pao's.  Long before they were called that!!

Here's Becky.  She was/is stinkin' cute.  Kim and Sandy are in these, too.  She was a very easy baby.

Pav and Diana.  My dad and Becky.  First babies get a lot of pictures, of course.

My mom with Becky.  Isn't she a cute baby?  Such great memories.

Grandma and Papa Rowe with B.

Court with B.  My mom and dad.

Don's Grandma Rowe and greatGrandma. More of Becky and Marylyn with Joseph.

Becky is 4 here.  This is out of order but isn't she cute.  I made that dress and her necklace is a chain with a ring that her Dad had as a baby.

This pic was in the same album.  Here's Tiff.  Another adorable child. Her baby pictures will be later!!

Does the dress look similar to another?  I made them a lot of matching clothes because I thought it was really fun and they were too young to care.  HA - you get to do what you want at some point.  Not so much later.

Here's Don is his way cool slacks and check out THE HAIR.  The PGA passed up one of the greats.  :-)
